Hey, my name is Amy Djakovic and ​I am an experienced 2D animator, illustrator, and concept artist based in Sydney, Australia! I have a Bachelor of Animation Production which I completed at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), which helped me hone my skills and gave me a strong foundation in the animation production pipeline. While I gained a lot of varied skills in my studies, my true passion lies in character design and storytelling—two elements that I believe are intrinsically linked. I aim to create designs and animations that not only capture the essence of a character but also communicate their story, personality, and emotional depth with clarity and impact.

Over the years, I have contributed to a range of projects that saw me work as part of a team in a tight animation production pipeline—from ideation to final execution. A testament to this can be seen in the short films that I have successfully contributed to, some of which have been featured in renowned film festivals such as Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF), showcasing my commitment to storytelling and animation excellence.

My work is deeply influenced by my love for fantasy and fiction, and I often draw inspiration from DnD, animated features, video games, comics, and manga. These creative mediums fuel my desire to create compelling worlds and characters that evoke a sense of wonder and exploration. I thrive on the challenge of problem-solving within the creative process, always striving to deliver designs that are not only visually striking but also narratively enriching.
